Source:  Bromley Archive reference Bromley Archive Reference P 107/1/7 also available on GSU microfilm #2145472. Supplemented by microfilm.  The register entries contain, in many cases, references to position of graves and designate burials in the extension to the church yard.

Henry Mantell advises of the two volumes of marriages, merged here, as follows:  J. Bull's, Curate, entry "An account of Marriages in this book, found in a very disordered state, is from the year 1754-1788 but apparently entire" and is dated 1812.  Rev'd. Thomas Browne's disorderly register omits banns for certain years and his entries in the two entries for Banns and marriages contradict his own spelling of surnames. The entry of "Bashford" in the banns entry is rendered as "Bag" in the marriage [the banns entry has this crossed out] and "Bath" in the groom's signature entry. This is the only surviving record of a significant period of marriages in the parish but may well be unreliable in both individual entry and omitted and damaged entries.  Our transcript is the best possible in the circumstances.>
